I am one of the lucky people who felt called to something in particular. I love working with kids, and I loved having kids, and I love reading books for kids. I’ve been a children’s librarian for a whole lot of years, and the magic is that doing a storytime still makes me just as happy now as it did all those years ago. That’s thanks to the kids, and thanks to the authors and illustrators. These days my job puts me more in contact with the grown-ups, but I still make sure to spend at least some of my time nose-to-nose with the kids.
